“Parissa … immediately engages by being blessed with a voice that has timbral overlaps with Billie Holiday’s. More significantly she shines the charm of that voice on some exceptional self-penned songs”

JOHN SHAND, SMH

“I cannot stop listening to this doll-faced singing angels album. She is shut-the-front-door DYNAMITE! Like a blend of Carmen Miranda, Billy Holiday and Madeleine Peroux but completely herself at the same time. I adore her stage presence, songwriting, vocal timbre and phrasing. I urge you to check her out online or live. (Believe it or not but she is Byron Bay based!!!) If you don't already know this starlet please allow me to introduce to you Parissa Bouas #howhaveinotheardofherbefore”

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Dear friends,

As the year comes to a close, I say goodbye to James Ross, who has been my accompanist for the past 18 months. I wish him and his partner well on their journey to Brazil and beyond, hoping you'll come back safe and sound and soon...

In the meantime, an old friend and gifted pianist Sean MacKenzie, is moving up to Byron and we have a few gigs planned in the new year... www.parissabouas.com . www.seanmackenzie.com

The shows with Carl Cleves - THE HOTTENTOTS, went beautifully this year. I still love singing those deep and intimate songs with Carl.

The shows with The Bella Fontes and the Meninas da Lua have delighted me and kept my curious mind captivated and content and my funny bone adequately tickled!!

Many thanks to the Lighthouse Voices Choir, for thoroughly singing me up each Wednesday night.

Finally, much love to you, dear audiences, for your support of my musical projects, this year and over many years. Every little bit of support has helped me develop as an artist and a human being, so thank you for that blessing. Every little bit of joy we can create in this crazy mixed up world is such a valuable commodity. Every kind word and good deed, every moving melody, helps us to hope and believe in the goodness of each other, and hope is the only remedy to fear...

So, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, joyous summer or winter Solstice where ever you may be on this blue planet. Go gently and safely into the new year and delight in the extraordinary unknown to come.

Best wishes,

Parissa X
